Project Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead software development projects focused on Data Engineering and implementing cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, strong communication, leadership skills and a deep understanding of Databricks technology.
The role is 100% remote, however there is the opportunity to work with our clients and partners on occasion.

Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline creation, and risk assessment.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take corrective action as needed.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined quality standards.
Stakeholder Management:
- Effectively communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and team members.
- Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional development and growth.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their effectiveness.
Commercial Acumen:
- Be able to support project forecasting, planning, and commercial proposal writing.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a software development environment, ideally with a focus on Databricks projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and their application in project management.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Miro, Trello).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Desirable
- Data Engineering Expertise: Possess an understanding of Databricks as a tool, how it fits into cloud architecture, what its capabilities are, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams for data engineering.
