Center Parcs: Simplifying Security with Auth0 Migration
Center Parcs UK and Ireland, known for its family-friendly forest retreats, required an upgraded identity management solution to enhance security and meet growing demands.
Challenge
Center Parcs needed to safeguard sensitive customer data and maintain the integrity of its online booking platform. The existing identity provider lacked scalability and security, making the system vulnerable to cyber threats. A new solution was required to address these challenges while reducing costs and complexity.
Solution
We migrated Center Parcs to Auth0, leveraging serverless AWS technologies to build a scalable, secure identity platform. The team deployed a temporary API Gateway for secure data migration to Auth0. They integrated Auth0 with AWS EventBridge, Lambda, and S3 for real-time user event processing and used Terraform to implement version-controlled Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring accurate and repeatable deployments.
Results
This migration delivered significant results. Enhanced security was achieved through the use of AWS Key Management Service, which secures sensitive data and tightly controls access. Cost efficiency was improved by using serverless tools to optimise resource use and reduce operational costs. Observability was enhanced through CloudWatch, providing real-time insights to ensure system reliability.
